The Essentials
Hand Sanitizer - be sure to have your own personal hand sani in your gym bag, spray or spray gel if possible! Use it before and after each event, when grabbing a sip of water, eating your post-meet snack and any other time you pull your mask down or off.
Personal Chalk Bucket, Spray Bottle, Grip Brush - whether you keep your own chalk in your bag or your coach keeps your teammates’ chalk containers in one spot, make sure it is labeled and in a sealed bucket or bag that won’t spill.
Extra Face Masks - have two or three clean extra masks that fit your face comfortably so you aren’t scrambling for a replacement if one breaks during your meet. Keep them in a small separate bag so you can place yours inside if you take it off to compete, rather than on the floor or in someone's hands.
Filled Water Bottle - make sure your water is labeled and full before you get to the meet to avoid having to fill between events. Insulated bottles with an easy built in straw are even better for grabbing a quick sip without contaminating with your hands.
Slide Ons/Flip Flops - avoid walking barefoot with flip flops you can throw on when rotating between events or using the restroom.
Phone Charger/Portable Battery - with limited spectators allowed in meet venues, make sure your phone is charged up so you can update your friends and family after your competition.
